“The Seven Grandkids” is a Jakarta-based group of family musicians, ranging in age from seven to 17 years old, all of whom sing and/or play different musical instruments. “The Seven Grandkids” started making music video performances in 2011 for their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Handoko, to showcase their emerging musical talents and to bring good tidings for the holiday seasons. They began with playing simple arrangements of Christmas music and have continued to make Christmas performances every year since then.

“The Seven Grandkids” are, by order of age: Marco (17), Marlo (15), Celine (13), Marsha (13), Celia (11), Marson (9), and Celestia (7). Each of them plays at least two musical instruments and enjoys making beautiful music together as a family. Expanding beyond just Christmas music, they’ve also enjoyed playing classical and folk songs as well.

The Seven Grandkids’ rendition of “Bella Ciao,” made popular by Netflix’s “Money Heist” series. Marco: tenor vocal and alto saxophone; Marlo: contrabass; Celine and Celia: marimba; Marsha: violin; Marson: cello and Celestia on percussions.
